Our Fashion Choices for the Coco Chanel Exhibition in The Hague

There was an exhibition on Coco Chanel in The Hague, The Netherlands, so Saskia, Greetje, and I decided to check it out. Naturally, it was a great opportunity to snap some outfit-of-the-day photos.

Since it was cold, we all bundled up in coats, scarves, and even a hat for Greetje. I usually wear ear warmers outside but skipped them this time because they didn’t seem right for photos. I didn’t buy any new winter coats, so I stuck with my old black coat paired with a black and white woolen scarf. Saskia looked very stylish in a leather trench, something that would be high on my wish list if I lived in a colder climate (along with a colorful coat, of course!).

Both Saskia and Greetje added pops of color to their mostly dark outfits. Greetje stood out in a purple woolen coat, while Saskia added color with her scarf. I also loved Greetje’s ‘Russian’ hat.

We could only remove our coats inside, where Greetje revealed yet another colorful scarf to brighten her dark outfit. Saskia aimed for a Chanel-inspired look with her Chanel-style jacket and black and white outfit. I loved the mix of textures in her look, especially the leather flaps over her suede boots—they were fabulous!

Greetje went for coated skinnies that really suited her figure, pairing them with a perfect black leather jacket and killer boots. Her colorful scarf added some flattering hues that brightened her look.

I chose skinnies too, which is unusual for me. However, I love winter white and couldn’t resist these comfy skinnies with zippers from Zara. Skinnies are great in colder weather because they hug your legs and keep them warm. I wore them with jumpers since my goal this year is to stay warm! My jumper was from Zara and the blue turtleneck from CK Calvin Klein. In total, I wore four layers on top!

Tomorrow, I’ll share more about the Chanel exhibition itself and how we all channeled Chanel with some of her iconic jackets. Which outfit was your favorite?
