I’m really into the bright colors trend right now and just want to wear them all the time. It’s a bit tricky for me because my wardrobe is mostly filled with neutral colors. I’ve always leaned towards neutral tones, except for my sports clothes, which I usually reserve for workouts.
So, I decided to wear my orange t-shirt again, which I mentioned in my article about styling capris. Normally, I pair orange with white, like I did with my orange pants, but I wanted to switch things up a bit this time. I went through my closet to find some new options.
I came across this sheer silk skirt that I bought a while ago when I lived in Australia. It’s one of those pieces I rarely wear, but the quality and timeless design make it a keeper. Every now and then, an occasion comes along where it’s the perfect choice, just like today.
Since the skirt is so see-through, I needed something underneath, so I picked a simple skin-toned under-skirt. This way, I get to wear a mini-skirt in a classy, fun way. To keep the look from being too classic, I added some casual wedges. The Balenciaga bag adds a touch of chic.
Varying skirt lengths are quite trendy right now, with many styles being long at the back and short in the front. Personally, I avoid that because I don’t want to highlight my knees. This skirt, however, covers my knees nicely while still playing with different lengths due to its sheerness.
Would you try this kind of mini skirt and sheer look, or would you stick to a completely classic and covered style?
