My Outfit Experience at the ArtScience Museum

Sunday was a family day out, and we decided to visit the new Art Science Museum in Singapore, which is part of the Marina Bay Sands Resort. The museum currently has two fascinating exhibitions: a collection of Salvadore Dali’s artworks and the Titanic artifact exhibition. That was more than enough reason for us to check it out.

Now, let’s talk about what I wore that day. If you’ve read my previous article on picking fabulous tops that can also be basics, you probably remember my purple silk top. I got it at a 70% off sale at Alldressedup and absolutely love the color. I paired it with an old pink skirt. I can’t quite explain my obsession with that pink shade, but ever since Stella McCartney featured it in her Adidas collection, I’ve been hooked.

I’ve been fond of this pink for years, which is quite a long time for me. My love for the color has even led me to buy things just because they are pink. This skirt was one of those purchases. It’s not a style I usually go for, but it was on sale, made of silk, and I figured I could wear it in different ways.

I hadn’t worn the skirt much until recently, but as I’ve been revisiting my wardrobe, I’ve rediscovered it. I felt great wearing it that day. The color combination of the top and skirt was lovely, and since both pieces are 100% silk, the outfit was incredibly comfortable and breezy. Silk feels amazing on the skin.

Plus, the skirt is so wide that it offers plenty of styling opportunities. I’ve found many other ways to make it more fashionable.

Here’s the outfit breakdown:
– Skirt: Max Mara
– Top: Alldressedup
– Shoes: Zara
– Necklace: Alldressedup
– Belt: Hobbs

What do you think of this outfit? Would you wear a skirt this wide? How often do you wear silk?
