I really love it when I find a versatile piece of clothing. When I spot something that I can wear in many different ways, it’s an easy buy for me. That’s how I felt about this striped dress.
The dress is made from stretchy material, so it’s super comfortable. It’s short and didn’t come with a belt, but I immediately saw its potential as a tunic. The sleeves make it perfect for both warm and cool weather.
You can wear it as a dress on its own, but since I’m not a big fan of showing my knees, I probably won’t wear it that way often—unless I’m at a beach resort. However, I do love how it looks with my fuchsia kitten heels.
I’m more likely to wear it over pants. I especially like pairing it with my bootcut Paige jeans. The belt adds structure and gives the dress a flattering shape. Wearing it over skinny jeans is another great option. These cropped skinny jeans from Uniqlo are super comfy and easy to match with longer tops in spring and summer. The fuchsia accessories add a nice pop of color.
I also like wearing it with wider white jeans. This wide-over-wide look is something I’m really into right now. Adding a belt helps create structure, and wearing heels gives me some extra height, making my legs look longer.
This dress is a perfect example of how one new item can refresh your entire wardrobe. Every other piece I’m wearing with it is at least a year old.
