Is it okay to like a piece of clothing more from the back? Ideally, no. The focus should be on your face since that’s where the attention usually goes. However, every now and then, there’s a piece you just prefer from the back, like the dress I got with Greetje in Amsterdam.
It’s important that clothes look good from both the front and the back. This is something to keep in mind while shopping. With this particular dress, you can draw attention to the back by showcasing the purple of the inbuilt elastic at the front. I paired it with my versatile tube necklace and a large bag in a matching color.
I was with Anja, who’s visiting for a few weeks. She wore her usual colorful, floral outfit while I stuck to my style, which leans more towards color blocking and graphics. We chose Gardens by the Bay again for its picturesque views of Marina Bay Sands and the large super trees in the background.
It was an extremely hot day, and despite looking comfortably cool in the pictures, I was actually sweltering. The contrast with my recent trip to the Arctic couldn’t have been greater.
You can see the Singapore Flyer in the background, a popular tourist spot for a fantastic city view. Also, notice how the dress shows every curve and bump? That’s something to keep in mind with jersey or knit fabrics.
I’ll share Anja’s pictures soon. I’ve already taken several shots of her in different outfits, and it’s going to be a floral extravaganza. Make sure to subscribe so you won’t miss it!
