Yesterday, I attended the Fabulous Fashionistas Event in New York and shared some amazing looks from the event. Let me tell you about the outfits Suzanne Carillo and I wore. We were definitely giving off some reggae vibes with our looks!
Since we were guests of the vibrant Sue Kreitzman, I wanted to wear something colorful. I chose a red dress that I found at a consignment store earlier. I’ll share more about my consignment and resale shopping experiences in New York in a future article. This dress was quite different from my usual style—more feminine and girly. It felt like a bit of a risk and took me slightly out of my comfort zone, but the fantastic fit, color, and silk fabric drew me in. I’m not sure yet if it was a complete success, but time will tell.
I styled my hair in a small bun and added a rose for an extra touch. Suzanne also opted for color and wore one of her fabulous maxi dresses, fitting right in with the other incredible fashionistas at the event.
Throughout my 3-month trip, I’ve met many inspiring women, and this event was no exception. Suzanne wrote a post about how the experience resonated with her, emphasizing how meeting these fierce women, who are not letting age define them, filled her with hope. It reminded us that the second half of life is an opportunity for new dreams and growth. It’s all about staying vibrant and not letting yourself be the barrier to your own potential.
I couldn’t agree more and feel more energized than ever to embrace the next chapter of my life journey!
