How do you manage your bags?
I used to be a practical Dutch girl with just one stylish and comfy backpack that matched everything. But now, I have a diverse collection of bags that I mix and match with my outfits. Nowadays, my outfits don’t feel complete without the perfect bag. That old backpack is a thing of the past, and I’ve embraced bags in all sorts of colors and patterns.
When I asked my Facebook friends the same question, it turned out that people were almost evenly split between those who always switch bags and those who stick to one.
The Non-Changers:
Nanda: “I have several bags and wish I could change them with every outfit, but I don’t have the time. So, I just switch bags occasionally.”
Laura: “I use the same bag all the time. I make sure it’s a nice neutral one with all the features I need to make my life easier.”
Radin: “I don’t change bags to avoid the hassle and the risk of forgetting something important.”
Lorraine Rose: “I mostly use the same bag because changing bags frequently isn’t affordable.”
Rita: “I switch bags every month or so, unless I’m doing something messy, then I use a nylon tote. My bags are generally neutral shades, so they go with everything. I change them mostly to ensure I use them all and avoid wearing out one bag.”
Emily: “I change bags periodically. I usually wear the same color family for a while and then switch, doing the same with my bags. My daughter introduced me to the benefits of a large bag.”
Luciana: “I use one bag for weeks, sometimes over a month, before switching. Daily changes would mean I’d forget something important. Currently, I’m using a lime yellow bag that I love.”
Cynthia: “Once I find a purse I like, I use it until it falls apart. I’m picky about a bag’s features.”
Silvia: “I only switch bags when dressing up because I hate changing them and forgetting things.”
The Changers:
Aileen: “I change my bag with every outfit. A tip I heard is to put important items into a small bag that can be easily transferred from one bag to another.”
Noeline: “I coordinate my bag with my outfit. I use small cosmetic-sized bags for essentials, making it quick to switch bags without forgetting anything vital.”
Lonie: “I change my bag with every outfit. If I’m just going around the village, I use any handy bag.”
Tracey: “I switch bags for each outfit.”
Zaidah: “I change my bag to match my outfit color every time.”
Cara: “I like to mix it up!”
Trina: “I always change with my outfits.”
