Whenever I’m in Haarlem, I love catching up with my friends Greetje, Anja, and Saskia. We usually spend our time shopping and enjoying plenty of drinks, mostly coffee and tea.
For this first outing, I went for a layered look since it was quite chilly in the morning. I wore two of my gray jackets, both thin and unlined, making them easy to take on and off. I’m also wearing my Gap jeans, which I recently rediscovered. They’ve quickly become a favorite because they’re stretchy and comfortable. I don’t often wear jeans in Singapore, but in the Netherlands, I find skinnies and jeans very practical and warm.
Here I’m just wearing the moto jacket. Saskia looks fabulous in her multicolored top, which highlights her best colors. With these lovely friends around, there’s never a dull moment.
On another chilly day in the Netherlands, I needed plenty of layers. I wore my long-sleeved tunic, a leather jacket, and an outer coat. As the weather improved later in the week, two layers sufficed. Eventually, just one layer was enough.
When the weather got cooler again, I switched back to jeans and a jacket. On another shopping day in Amsterdam, Greetje looked fantastic in blue and green. I’ll share details of my outfit from that day next week.
