Yesterday, I had an amazing day hanging out and shopping with three readers from 40+Style! Lorraine, Elaine, Nathalie, Denton, and I started our adventure at Starbucks in Soho, planning to mix some second-hand and retail shopping.
Our first stop was Scoop. I found a beautiful silk layered top there, which you can see in the photos. This store has a fantastic selection of brands, and if you’re in the neighborhood, you should definitely check out their sales rack. I showed Nathalie a thick cotton Helmut Lang jacket I tried on earlier, but unfortunately, it was too big for her.
Next, we headed to &Other Stories, a sister brand of H&M that offers slightly fancier items. They had an impressive selection of shoes, and Elaine ended up buying two pairs along with some white pants. Both Nathalie and I picked up a geometric print t-shirt.
We then visited Housing Works, a second-hand shop where I found some wide-leg bell-bottom white pants by Theory. I’d been searching for these kinds of pants for a while, and they fit perfectly! Nathalie found a fantastic spotted jumper.
After that, we stumbled upon Le Sak Paris, where I found the most unique bags from Cleo & Patek at 90% off! I couldn’t resist and grabbed one. Nathalie got a black purse there too.
Elaine expanded her wardrobe with a skirt and a unique laced cardigan, while Nathalie scored the perfect pair of black pants.
Although Lorraine didn’t buy anything, she couldn’t stop thinking about a stunning pink coat she tried on the day before at a resale store in the Upper East Side. She might still go back for it.
We had an absolute blast shopping together, and I’m thrilled I got to connect with some of my wonderful readers!
Many thanks to Denton for capturing some great moments with his photography!
